A Cruel Romance (original title Zhestokiy romans) is a Soviet 1984 made for TV drama movie by Eldar Ryazanov. It is based on a classic Russian play Without a Dowry (1878).

The following weapons were used in the film A Cruel Romance:

Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action

During the soiree Paratov (Nikita Mikhalkov) and Semenovsky (Aleksandr Pankratov-Chyornyy) compete in marksmanship, using Semenovsky's nickel plated Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action with pearl grips (most likely not original S&W but a European, possibly Spanish clone). This revolver appears to be the same weapon that appears in several other Mosfilm productions, like Shvedskaya spichka, Semeynoe schastye, and Zemlya Sannikova.
