William Demarest

William Demarest (born Carl William Demarest; February 27, 1892 – December 27, 1983) was an American character actor. In late 1920s - 1970s he appeared in over 140 films. Demarest received an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role in The Jolson Story (1946), an Emmy nomination as Best Supporting Actor for My Three Sons TV series; he also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
