A White Sail Gleams (Beleyet parus odinoky) is the first film of Soviet TV series Waves of the Black Sea (Volny Chyornogo morya) (filmed in 1975, released in 1976). It is a screen adaptation of the novel "Beleyet parus odinoky" by Valentin Kataev. It is set in the city of Odessa on the Black Sea coast in 1905-1906 and depicts the childhood of the main characters, Petya (Pyotr) Bachey and Gavrik (Gavrila) Chernoivanenko, during the 1905 Russian revolution.

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by revolutionaries, notably former sailor of battleship Potemkin Rodion Zhukov (Sergey Nikonenko), Gavrik's elder brother Terentiy Chernoivanenko (Ivan Mykolaichuk) and member of Odessa revolutionary commeetee Ilya Borisovich (Aleksander Kazimirov), and by police. These revolvers are of anachronistic post-1930 version.
