Wandering Sagittarius (Strelets neprikayannyy) is a 1993 co-production Russian-French-American science fiction drama movie directed by Georgiy Shengeliya. A former journalist Gherman (Vladimir Ilin) learns from his dying grandfather, a genius physicist, that the latter invented a tunnel in time, leading to the 1960s. Gherman decides to use the tunnel to purchase gold jewelry in the past, using stocks of Soviet currency that are useless in new Russia, and to sell the gold in the 1990s. But his frequent travel through the time soon leads to problems: in the 1960s the Militsiya hunts for the source of "high-quality counterfeits of money", and in the 1990s a crime boss who is also the new husband of Gherman's ex-wife wants to take gold shipment under his control.
