Ever since I was young, I’ve been a big war buff. I love learning about military history, weaponry, tactics, etc. and I study modern military and law enforcement organizations as a hobby. I have no military background to speak of, but my best friend (may he rest in peace) served in the 1st Ranger Battalion as an Infantryman in Kandahar and I had the pleasure of learning a lot (within OPSEC, of course) from him and his buddies. I plan to enlist with the Army National Guard in the near-future.
