Smith & Wesson Model 36

Detective Asai (Satoshi Tsumabuki), Detective Aikawa (Jô Odagiri), and many policemen can be see armed with snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers. These may be a stand-in for the Nambu Model 60 revolvers used by uniformed Japanese prefectural police officers, although many detectives and officers of the National Police Agency in Japan use the S&W Model 36 in real life as well.

The Model 36 glints in the sun, showing its glossy blued finish compared to the Nambu's dull parkerizing. The slender butt with its lack of lanyard ring is also just visible here as well.
