Smith & Wesson Model 586 The main firearm used by Akikazu Fujishima (Kôji Yakusho ) is the Smith & Wesson Model 586 . He uses it many times throughout the movie.

Smith & Wesson Model 36 Detective Asai (Satoshi Tsumabuki ), Detective Aikawa (Jô Odagiri ), and many policemen can be see armed with snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers. These may be a stand-in for the Nambu Model 60 revolvers used by uniformed Japanese prefectural police officers, although many detectives and officers of the National Police Agency in Japan use the S&W Model 36 in real life as well.

This has a deep Colt factory blued finish, common for commercial variants before and after the war.
