The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean is a 1972 Western starring Paul Newman as the title character, an eccentric lawman who doled out his own unique brand of justice to a small Texas town. Although the real life Bean died in 1903, the opening title card mentions that this film was meant to tell his story the way he probably would want it to be told. The film was directed by John Huston from a screenplay writted by John Milius and co-starred Ned Beatty, Stacy Keach, and Victoria Principal in her movie debut.

The following weapons were used in the film The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean:

M1928 Thompson

An M1928 Thompson submachine gun is used by a Texas lawman during the final shootout. The use of the Thompson would be anachronistic since the real Roy Bean died in 1903, but the film was intended to be a stylized portrayal of his life.
