The Day of the Triffids (1962)

The Day of the Triffids (1962) is the first of three filmed versions of John Wyndham’s classic science fiction novel (adaptations were also released in 1981 and in 2009 and the least faithful adaptation of the original story). While this version lacks Wyndham’s philosophical musings, it is nonetheless an underrated monster thriller. The film was directed by Steve Sekely and starred Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Janette Scott, Kieron Moore, Mervyn Johns, Ewan Roberts, and Alison Leggatt. A meteor storm blinds humanity, which falls prey to carnivorous, walking plants.

The following firearms were used in the film The Day of the Triffids (1962):

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
