The Cousin Le cousin ) is a 1997 French crime drama directed by Alain Corneau . Drug dealer, nicknamed Nounours ("Teddy Bear") (Patrick Timsit ), is the police informer ("The Cousin" is a slang term for such informers) who works for a share of drugs, seized thanks to his help. His contact, inspector Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat ), is under heavy pressure of Judge Anne Lambert (Marie Trintignant ) who is in crusade against this illegal practices.
