The Breitner Commando (French title : Qu'un Sang Impur...) is a 2019 French drama/war movie directed by Abdel Raouf Dafri. In a scenario likely inspired by Apocalypse Now, Lt. Colonel Breitner (Johan Heldenberg), a veteran of the First Indochina War, receives a mission to find the corpse of the supposedly dead Colonel Delignière (Olivier Gourmet). Breitner, along with a group of commandos, venture into the Algerian desert and find madness and danger on their quest.

The following weapons were used in the film The Breitner Commando:

Handguns

Colt M1911

The original Colt M1911 is briefly by French paratroopers. Mourad (Salim Kechiouche) carries a Colt 1911 during his escape and Martillat (Pierre Lottin) uses a suppressed one.

Remington 1911 R1

Colonel Delignière (Olivier Gourmet) use a bright nickel plated Remington 1911 R1 with pearl grips to kill Assia (Lyna Khoudri). Youcef also uses the same pistol to execute Senghor (Steve Tientcheu). While Remington did manufacture a run of original-model M1911 pistols from 1918 to 1919, the pistol used in the film is an anachronistic Remington 1911 R1, which was first produced in 2010.

The Lieutenant leading the Harkis (Algerians who served in the French Army during the Algerian War) fires a MAC Mle 1950 pistol at surviving fellaghas (a catch-all term for Algerian militants who fought against the French during the Algerian War). A fellagha wounds Breitner with an Mle 1950.

Karabiner 98k

Martillat's main rifle is a scoped Karabiner 98k. He uses it with a suppressor as well. The suppressor used by Martillat seems to be the same one he screws onto his M1911- an impossible feat considering the two different calibers of these weapons. Senghor shoots a would-be rapist with Martillat's rifle. Several fellaghas are also armed with regular Kar98ks.
