Yeah, I have re-created this page because the game DOES contain some realistic weapons. Oh, and can anyone help with that revolver? --bozitojugg3rn4ut 20:31, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

that third ak47 picture looks more like an mp44

I think it is too. I believe that was when you go back in time to the 30's i think. I haven't played the game in a while so I'm a bit rusty User:SeanWolf

there are no Germans in the game nor does it take place in Germany nor there is any connection to Germans or Nazis or anything like that I don't think its the 30's I believe the past levels was in cold war times, since it is mentioned that the experiments are done in order to gain upper hand against America which would make no sense in the 30's

That image is from the beta, check the dude's gloves and the TMD - they look different on the other images. And that weapon is an AK, what would the MP44 do on a fictional Russian island in '55? --bozitojugg3rn4ut 23:03, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Haven't played the game, and although it makes no sense based on what people have said, that is definitely a Sturmgewehr 44, not an AK. Note how there is a length of receiver behind the pistol grip before the butt starts, the butt is exactly the same shape as an StG44, the trigger grip and pistol grip are part of the receiver with grip plates bolted either side, the "chunkyness" of the rear sight, the much slimmer hand guard, and the presence of the rod at the end of the gas tube. Look at the article for the StG44, and you will see it is definitely the same gun. --commando552 23:15, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Maybe the game was made by people who know sh*t about weapon and they thought the STG44 is Russian weapon... so they gave the Soviets this gun as their primary in the BETA. They realized that the STG is a German gun and changed it to the AK before releasing the final game. (The question is: Should we put it under the STG44 or just simply remove that image cuz as I have said, it is a beta image?) --bozitojugg3rn4ut 10:15, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Really late reply, but it’s probably worth bringing up for anyone curious later: it’s probably a placeholder. Raven Software’s previous project to this was the 2009 Wolfenstein game, where the MP43 was a useable weapon (being WW2 and all). Raven probably used that as a similar looking placeholder for trailers and the beta while the proper AK model was being made. Raven did something similar before where they retextured Klingons white to function as placeholder Stormtroopers when working on Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast from their prior project Star Trek Elite Force, before modeling them proper for the final release. That seems likely, since I swear the Centurion reload has a flick like Renko is operating a slide release...On a revolver. Though with my A Level, the duff chemistry also got me; Element 99 is Einsteinium which was discovered in 1952, and the charts shown in the game are American periodic tables; Soviet ones would have different names for several elements (eg Rutherfordium was Kurchatovium). Einsteinium is basically useless for anything but making other useless elements with big atomic numbers. Also, shouldn't the "autocannon" be listed as a GAU-19? It's pretty obvious that's what they were going for. Evil Tim 09:21, 27 July 2011 (CDT)
Not to mention the fact that in the game the USSR exists within the borders of the current Russian Federation (sic!), The Eastern Bloc also apparently does not simply exist, Katorga-12 is a hefty island the size of almost half of Kamchatka, and although this is already a mere trifle compared to the above, Sakhalin is also not part of the USSR (while it has ever been only half). Either these are some kind of pricks of the authors, or they really did not know very well what they were dealing with at all. On another note, at least there are no characters with primordially Russian names (no) like Udre Belicoff or Kenny Petrovic, and Russian inscriptions in most cases are correct (albeit ridiculously duplicated in English), but rather different people were simply responsible for it. --Slon95 (talk) 19:51, 19 April 2021 (EDT)

I must say I did have fun with this, though, and I found the Seeker's sight hilarious; you can tell it's a prototype because they left some science in the reticle. :D Evil Tim 00:50, 28 July 2011 (CDT)

Help to assault rifle identify.

Can anybody tell me what kind of assault rifle? This is similar to AKMSU, but has another construction of gas operated unit. It modeled with black furniture, red-dot sight, laser designator, fixed buttstock, and 20-round plastic magazine and looks like a cross between AKMSU and SIG SG 552 Commando.
