They actually used these things? I remember seeing a documentary about outlandish gun designs and this was one of the weapons. They said it was infamously inaccurate, and they actually had to abort the live-fire demo because they were afraid it'd start a wildfire due to it being so hot & dry at the area the documentary was being filmed. Was that the documentary where they had that revolver that was designed for space and shot "Trounds"?-76.31.5.208 20:17, 22 June 2009 (UTC) (S&Wshooter)

I heard that the Victor Charlie used those abominations in the 'Nam but i doubt it. I mean, those things are rifles and pistols that shoot rockets! Who the fuck though those were a good idea?-Oliveira 20:52, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
A Pyromaniac, for sure, neither that, or The Soldier from Team Fortress 2 --Yocapo32 01:01, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

I heard that gyrojets have almost no moving parts or recol because of the rocket propulsion. the down side is that the rocket need to build up speed to be effective and the rocket can be stop if you put you had over the barrel

I believe the photos for the Gyrojet weapons are mislabeled. The (Assault) Rifle variant has a grip-inserted magazine and M16 ergonomics, and the Carbine variant is supposed to have a fixed rifle-like stock; i.e. the opposite of how the pictures are labeled on this site. I'm not going to change them on the chance that I'm incorrect, I just wanted to point that out. --Dirty Harold 12:44, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
