I always liked this flick. Never noticed the BFA before. I don't have it on dvd, might have to go out and pick this one up! Been in a Walter Hill mood of late. Wondering why no one has a "Streets of Fire" page up. I might just have to set it up.--James3 05:52, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Sheriff Hank Pearson (Rip Torn) with his Winchester Model 1897. Note Benteen's Winchester 1892 and Remington 870 in the overhead rack.
Jack Benteen: "You know, Hank, the next thing, you're gonna be complaining about the state legislature making women a Ranger. You know that."
Sheriff Hank Pearson: "Hell, I don't care, as long as she's 6'6", mean as a snake. State legislature. Shit, Jack! Only thing worse than a politician is a child molester."

His right hand appears to be on the metal band holding the stock together (I'm not sure what the term is), and there appears to be at least eight inches of stock forward of that.

Joaquin Jackson Original Ranger Grips

According to this Page: http://www.westernleatherholster.com/texas-ranger-grips/

"One well known style can be seen in the 1987 action film “Extreme Prejudice.” In this modern western Nick Nolte becomes Jack Benteen the hard boiled Ranger sharing his girlfriend with Powers Boothe as Cash Bailey. To prepare for his role, Nolte spent weeks with Joaquin Jackson one of the most famous Texas Rangers of his era. Nolte was even able to pass the Ranger firing course with Ranger Jackson’s help.

The movie grips were a dead ringer for Jackson’s Colt Commander grips with a silver body and gold accents. After several years Chisholm’s Trail has been able to recreate these stunning grips with Montazuma’s profile above an arched banner, with a horses’ head inside a horseshoe below."--Dillinger (talk) 03:16, 9 January 2018 (EST)
