Other Weapons

Devastator

The Devastator guns are fictional dual-wielded, rapid-fire rocket launchers capable of firing incendiary rounds.

Shrinker

The Shrinker is a weapon that, as the name suggests, shrinks enemies. Shrunken enemies will only stay in this state for about 11 seconds, and during this period they are completely defenseless and Duke will automatically kill a shrunken enemy by stomping on it.

Expander

The Expander is technically the same weapon as the Shrinker, except using different ammo. It does essentially the opposite effect of the Shrinker, expanding enemies until they explode if the Expander is used enough.

Freezethrower

The Freezethrower is a weapon that freezes enemies, as the name implies. It fires bouncy ice projectiles that freezes enemies for about 5 seconds if enough of the ice connects.

Plasma Cannon

The Plasma Cannon only appears in Duke Nukem 64, replacing the Freezethrower. It fires plasma projectiles that explode on impact, dealing a different amount of damage depending on how much it is charged.

Discussion

I don't really think that the Duke Nukem pistol is based on any pistol in particular. I've seen it referred to as a Mag 60 pistol, but I haven't been able to confirm that the Mag 60 is a real gun. --Wildweasel 15:51, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

The shells eject on the wrong side

I've heard it may have been a Hi-Point C9. Seems reasonable, given the shape of the original view sprites.--4.246.219.173 17:50, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

It is utterly ridiculous to think that Duke Nukem would carry a hi-point

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER RELEASE THIS YEAR!

It's been confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever is going to be released this year, 3rd of may 2011! there has been a trailer released. as far as the guns go i saw the same winchester 1300 defender with the grip, the same one as in DK:3D, a M1911 with a flashlight, or laser under the barrel, and it was gold plated, there is also a statue of duke in the trailer with him holding 2 desert eagles.

Hate to break it to you, but GearBox just delayed it until June 14th in North America and June 10th in the UK...User:SeanWolf
Probably just didn't want to break with tradition. Vangelis2 16:44, 24 March 2011 (CDT)

  • I think as a rule of thumb only official game images should be used. These 3D models, as far as I know, are not an official release from Apogee or 3D Realms, and are entirely fan created. Though here in the talk I guess is fine. THere is that one Lizard Trooper on the main page who probably shouldn't be there. --Clonehunter (talk) 13:45, 27 June 2014 (EDT)

  • I totally agree. The sprites of lizard troopers should be used instead. --MP-3008 (talk) 16:32, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
