Disscussion

Viskovsky carries the TT holster. Cannot say if it contains the gun, but the holster itself is very typical. Greg-Z (talk) 15:04, 31 May 2017 (EDT)

And as for me, all Mauser 98 and 98k rifles appear to be Arisaka Type 38 (98k hardly can appear in 1937 movie, as it was adopted in Germany only in 1935). Greg-Z (talk) 16:16, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
Many thanks for the help! Also, may you help me to ID an unknown machine gun, mounted on the combat plane? And, how do you think whot's state the uniform of the soldiers resembles? Pyramid Silent (talk) 17:31, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
The aircraft machine gun is twin Lewis Gun. In USSR this model was known as "Lewis Model 1924", mounted on Tur-5 and Tur-6 twin mountings. I have no exact information but it's very possible that Lewis Model 1924 was converted from the infantry Lewis by removing the barrel cover which differs if from the specially produced British aircraft version. Here is a good photo of such mounting on TB-1 bomber. What we see in the movie is Tur-5 mounting on R-5 light bomber. Greg-Z (talk) 01:33, 1 June 2017 (EDT) P.S. I guess that the uniform is generally based on Imperial Japanese Army but still differs. Greg-Z (talk) 01:42, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
Many thanks! How do you think, is the all correct now? Pyramid Silent (talk) 08:27, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
The plane is R-5, not Po-2. And please-please-please lessen the number of screenshots! You have a lot of nearly same images. Greg-Z (talk) 08:58, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
Ok. I uploads so much screenshots, due some weapons maybe wrong ID. Now, I removed several screenshots on disscussion page. Pyramid Silent (talk) 09:23, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
