Sonic the Hedgehog: 2 is a 2022 live-action/CGI sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog, part of Sega Corporation's long-running Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Set eight months after the events of the first film, Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz) settles into a comfortable life in the fictional Green Hills, Montana under the adoption of Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) and his wife Maddie Wachowski (Tika Sumpter). Meanwhile the exiled mad scientist, Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) plots his revenge against Sonic by returning to Earth while teaming up with Knuckles the Echidna (voiced by Idris Elba). Together with the newly arrived Tails, Sonic and his allies embark on an adventure to find the coveted Chaos Emeralds hidden on Earth and prevent the ultimate power of the universe from falling into the wrong hands.

The following weapons are featured in the film Sonic the Hedgehog:

Pistols

Taser X2 Defender

Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N) field agents wield Taser X3/X2 Defender pistols as their main sidearms. Green Hills Sheriff County Deputy Wade also uses one with a yellow finish.

Glock pistol

Deputy Wade (Adam Pally) of the Green Hills County's Sherriff's department has a holstered Glock pistol, but never wields it; instead opting for a Taser during a confrontation. It is possibly an airsoft as evidenced by the empty base behind the magwell. In the previous film, the Green Hills County Sherriff's department are seen using the SIG-Sauer P226 instead.

Fictional/Energy Weapons

G.U.N Energy Rifle

G.U.N operatives are seen using a fictional energy-based weapon when confronting Dr. Robotnik. Presumably these weapons are standard-issue in G.U.N as no other soldiers are seen holding more conventional contemporary firearms such as the M4A1 carbine as seen in the previous film. None are fired during the film however, making it difficult to discern how the weapon system supposedly functions.
