Sneakers (1992)


Sneakers is a 1992 thriller directed by Phil Alden Robinson (The Sum of All Fears) and starring Robert Redford as Martin Bishop, the head of a team of security specialists who find themselves unknowingly involved in the theft of the ultimate codebreaking machine. The film's cast included Dan Aykroyd, River Phoenix, Sidney Poitier, and Ben Kingsley.

Smith & Wesson Model 60

The Smith & Wesson Model 60 with Pachmayr grips is the weapon Donald Crease (Sidney Poitier) takes out when the team discovers how dangerous the codebreaking machine can be. Martin Bishop (Robert Redford) then takes it with him to the meeting with Gregor (George Hearn), the Russian attache.

NSA agents at the end of the film carry Heckler & Koch SP89 semi-auto carbines. Carl (River Phoenix) mistakenly refers to the weapon as an Uzi.
