Barrett M82

Another sniper is seen with an original Barrett M82 with a significantly shortened barrel (possibly a custom job) at the film's climax. This is an original/early Barrett M82 because of the early muzzle-brake, the lack of vent-slots in the fore-grip, the square trigger guard, and the simpler stock. A similar rifle had previously been used in the film The Taking of Beverly Hills.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub

Clegg, aka "The Spotter" (Gina Bellman) threatens a security guard with what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose revolver fitted with a barrel shroud. Initially identified as a Smith & Wesson Model 586, but the revolver in the movie has a pinned barrel. When Smith & Wesson introduced the 586/686 in 1981 the company had phased out the barrel pin feature. The 586/686 model was never produced with that feature. See Discussion page for details.
