Secret Name is a 2021 French movie directed by Aurélia Georges. In Paris in 1914, Nélie is on trial as a maid. Resisting the advances of the master of the house, she was dismissed and returned to the streets as a prostitute. She then became a Red Cross auxiliary nurse on the front line of the First World War. One day, she meets a young woman, Rose Juillet, who has come from Switzerland to Nancy to work as a reader for a middle-class widow, a friend of her deceased father. After an artillery bombardment, Nélie finds Rose lifeless and decides to assume her identity. She takes the job as a reader for the widow Eléonore. The two women soon develop a bond of affection, but then the real Rose Juillet turns up at the manor house and claims her place.
