10-inch Rodman Model 1861

The Rodman Model 1861, often known simply as the Rodman gun, was the designation for a trio of large smoothbore cannons from the American Civil War era, intended for use in coastal fortifications. The Model 1861 was produced in 8-inch, 10-inch, and 15-inch varieties, nearly identical aside from their increasing size. In contrast to the over eighteen-hundred Model 1861s produced, there was also a grand total of three Rodman Model 1864 guns made, one 13-inch and two 20-inch. Nearly two-hundred Rodman guns survive today, including both 20-inch guns.
