It is recognizable by the white "ArmaLite" logo and the white-painted fire position markings on the lower receiver (which no real AR-15 manufacturer uses).

(It should be noted that not all airsoft manufacturers use white fire position markers on their rifles; the more expensive airsoft M4s have the correct, real-life selectors.) Note: Most Type 56's and Type 56-1's which were imported into the U.S. during the 1980s came standard with a AKM style slant compensator, which made them resemble AKMs.
