Rafael Mini-Spike - 75mm

The Rafael Mini-Spike is an offshoot of the full size Spike and is intended for use against personnel and light vehicles. Due to the small size and weight of the launcher and ammunition (4kg for the launcher and 4kg for each missile) it is intended that a large number of rounds can be carried by a small team, with the operator carrying the command module and two missiles and other members of the team each carrying an additional four missiles. The Mini-Spike utilises the same "Fire, Observe and Update" guidance system of the full size Spike. This means that the missile can either be used in a "fire-and-forget" mode, or can have the target updated, changed or aborted wirelessly from the control unit. This capability allows the Mini-Spike to be fired speculatively to look for a target which is acquired by the operator after launch. The warhead itself can also be deactivated after launch, turning the missile into a pure kinetic weapon when collateral damage is a concern.
