ObsCure is a 2005 survival horror game developed by Hydravision (who were later rebranded to Mighty Rocket Studios and re-released both ObsCure and its sequel ObsCure: The Aftermath on Steam.)

The player takes control of five students in Leafmore High as they survive being locked in against monsters that are weakened by light.

The player can duct tape flashlights to firearms and use the flashlight to weaken monsters so they take full damage, pretty much all of these duct taped flashlights are attached in a way that would either easily break off or prevent the weapon from cycling if they didn't.

The following weapons appear in the video game ObsCure:

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS appears as the "Automatic Pistol" and "Gun with a light". The "Gun with a light" version is found in Principal Friedman's office while the "Automatic Pistol" version is found in the Cafeteria. Friedman's version is equipped with an irremovable flashlight and holds 15 bullets in a magazine while the Cafeteria version holds 10 bullets and must have a flashlight taped onto it. In "Special mode" (essentially New Game+), it's possible for Friedman's version to be replaced by the "Laser Gun", a Beretta with an underbarrel laser weapon based on the laser weapon found near the end of the game, this version only has to worry about overheating and deals direct damage to enemies compared to the finite charge of the dedicated laser weapon and the Beretta itself is still usable.

The "Gun with a light". Note the strange brass-colored object affixed to the muzzle that doesn't seem to serve any purpose. While the mounting system used here could conceivably work, it completely blocks the sights. One has to wonder why the developers didn't model this weapon with a dedicated frame-mounted weaponlight commonly used on modern semi-automatic handguns.

The "Automatic Pistol" with a flashlight taped on. Never mind how precarious the light looks and how it would ruin the balance of the gun- that would be the least of its problems if the weapon is fired and attempts to cycle.

Ashley holds handguns one-handed in a unique animation to show how she's the "Combat" character and her special ability gives her a small passive damage increase and the ability to attack twice in quick succession with any weapon, including firearms.

Walther PPK

A Walther PPK is called the "Old Pistol" and is found by both Dan and Kenny in the game's prologue with the main cast of students finding one inside the Classroom building. It holds an inaccurate 15 bullets in a magazine.

Revolver

A "Revolver" is found by the students as the last pistol, it holds only 6 shots compared to the other pistols but deals more damage with the same generic pistol ammo than other pistols. It has resemblance to the Taurus Model 66 and Colt Python.

Double Barreled Shotgun

A fictional double barreled shotgun appears and is found atop a shed in the garden. It is oddly equipped with a pump and is still pumped when fired despite only holding two shells.

The double barrel shotgun. It appears to have started life as a pump-action shotgun before the model was reworked into a rather mechanically implausible double barreled shotgun. Note the presence of what appears to be an ejection port on the side of the gun.

The double barrel shotgun with a flashlight taped on. Normally, taping a flashlight in such a manner to a break-action shotgun would interfere with loading it, but the double barreled shotgun does not appear to have any mechanism to actually break open the barrels.

Grenades

"Light Grenades"

A flashbang grenade is available as the "Light Grenade", which explodes in a bright flash that deals damage to the monsters. The animation for preparing to throw a grenade appears to have the pin be removed, but it's not removed from the actual model and the player can just release the aim button to cancel a throw.

Gas Grenade

A gas grenade that appears to be based on the M7 CS gas grenade is used in one cutscene.
