Mercedes Gets Away from the Chase (direct translation of original title 'Mersedes' ukhodit ot pogoni) is a 1980 Soviet war movie directed by Yuri Lyashenko. The story is set in Autumn 1943. A Soviet reconnaissance group in disguise of Wehrmacht soldiers makes a raid behind the enemy lines, using the captured Mercedes car. Their mission is to find out where the enemy fresh troops are being transferred.
