March or Die Gene Hackman , Terence Hill , Catherine Deneuve and Max von Sydow . The story takes place in 1918 in Morocco. A detachment of the French Foreign Legion under the command of Major Foster (Gene Hackman ) is send to escort an archaeologists expedition in desert where El Krim (Ian Holm ) raises Bedouin tribes for Jihad.
