King Solomon's Mines is the 2004 television miniseries adaptation of the H. Rider Haggard adventure novel. Patrick Swayze stars in the film as Allan Quartermain (the last name was changed from the novel's Quatermain). The miniseries aired in two parts on the Hallmark Channel.

The following weapons were used in the film King Solomon's Mines:

Revolvers

Single Action Army "Artillery" Model

Allan Quartermain (Patrick Swayze) carries a Single Action Army "Artillery" Model revolver. An "Artillery" revolver is also used by Sergei (Langley Kirkwood).

Webley .455 Mk I / Mk II

Captain Good (Roy Marsden) and Sir Henry Curtis (Ian Roberts) carry Webley .455 revolvers of early models. Judging by the rear part of the frame of Sir Henry's revolver, his gun may be a Mk I while the hammer of Captain Good's revolver looks more similar to Mk II.

Smith & Wesson Victory Model

Dr. Sam Maitland (John Standing) carries a Smith & Wesson Military & Police style revolver, definitly anachronistic for 1880s when the plot is set. The dull grey surface of the gun allows to identify it as a Victory Model. Same looking revolver is used by Petre (Morne Visser).

Pistols

Mauser C96 M1930

Ivan Fleekov (Nick Boraine) carries a Mauser C96 M1930 pistol. Of course, any model of the "Broomhandle" is anachronistic for 1880s.

Rifles and Shotguns

Winchester Model 1892 Carbine

One of the long guns of Allan Quartermain (Patrick Swayze) is a Winchester Model 1892 carbine. It's worth noting that in the original novel the trio of the adventurers carry, among other guns, "three Winchester repeating rifles (not carbines)". The best fitting model for 1880s South Africa would be Winchester 1873.

FN Mauser Mle 1924

Khiva (Godfrey Lekala), another Quartermain's African assistant, is armed with an anachronistic Mauser short rifle that resembles Karabiner 98k but has straight bolt handle, and the sling swivels are placed below the stock, as it is common for original Gewehr 1898 rifle. The Belgian FN Mauser Mle 1924 that was widely produced for export in 1920s-1930s seems to be a decent guess.

Mauser Standard Modell

A Mauser rifle is used by an unnamed native porter. Unlike Khiva's rifle, it has turned down bolt handle. Possibly this is a variant of Mauser Standard Modell.

Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry (Finnish)

Ivan Fleekov (Nick Boraine), Sergei (Langley Kirkwood) and Petre (Morne Visser) carry Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry rifles. These rifles are of post-1910 version, judging by fully enclosed handguard, Konovalov rear sight and sling slots rather than swivels. Close-ups of the front sights allow to see the notched rear that can be seen on Finnish service M91 rifles. The elongated heads of the cleaning rods of Ivan's and Sergei's rifles are also more common for Finnish Mosin Nagants. The real Russian military rifle in 1880s was the Berdan No.2.

Combination Rifle/Shotgun

Allan Quartermain (Patrick Swayze) is seen in the very beginning of the film armed with a side-by-side combination rifle/shotgun as he escorts a wealthy businessman Bitter on a safari. In South Africa of the appropriate era such guns were known as "Cape guns". They were produced by numerous British gunsmiths in a variety of calibers. The screen gun may be a modern incarnation of such weapons.

Cartridges with spitzer bullets (anachronistic for 1880s) are seen in Quartermain's bandolier. While they don't fit for his Winchester 1892 that he holds in this moment, this ammunition is probably for the rifled barrel of the combination gun.

Holland & Holland Double Rifle

Mr. Bitter (Robert Whitehead) owns an Holland & Holland Double Rifle or (less likely) Holland & Holland Paradox shotgun. This is a model with exposed hammers and underlever.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
For comparison: Holland & Holland Paradox. The screen gun has similar appearance but its rifle sights are uncommon for H&H Paradox.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
The rifle sights of the gun are seen. These sights and the relatively thin walls of the barrels allow to guess that this is a modern incarnation of classic H&H elephant gun rather than a genuine weapon of late 19th - early 20th century.
