King Creole is an American 1958 B&W musical drama directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Elvis Presley as Danny Fisher, a singer in the King Creole nightclub. His success attracs the attention of local crime boss Maxie Fields (Walter Matthau) who wants Danny for his own place. The movie is based on the novel A Stone for Danny Fisher (1952) by Harold Robbins.
