For this wrongdoing he is punished by sending to penal company for a month. The movie covers a single battle where Tiraspolsky and his comrades-in-arms participate. The origin of the title is a battle cry "Gu-Ga", sometimes used by penal units soldiers instead of traditional Russian "Uraa!".
