Erma MP60 - 9x19mm

The Erma MP60 was a prototype submachine gun developed by the German company Erma Werke for potential adoption by the Bundeswehr. The MP60 was of a traditional (arguably outdated) design, with a side folding wire stock, no provision for semi-automatic fire, had a receiver manufactured entirely from stamped sheet metal and fed from 36 round magazines originally designed for the Carl Gustav M/45. There was no interest in this weapon from the Bundeswehr, who instead had chosen to purchase the IMI Uzi, so the project was terminated after only 40 weapons had been produced.
