Dino Crisis 2 is a third-person action-adventure game and sequel to Dino Crisis. The game was developed and published by Capcom and Virgin Interactive, respectively and was released for the PlayStation on September 30, 2000. The game received mixed to positive reviews, and was more action-packed as opposed to the slower-paced original game.

The following weapons appear in the video game Dino Crisis 2:

Fictional Handgun

Regina's starting weapon at the beginning of the game, in the game Manual it says the weapon is a "Standard 9mm handgun". This weapon is completely fictional. Most of it's overall design seems to be made from a mixture of the Desert Eagle, Glock 17, Heckler & Koch Mark 23, and Browning Hi-Power MK III.

Serbu Super Shorty

The dead drug store clerk in the Edward City chapter can be found in-game with what looks like a Serbu Super Shorty laying next him. It can be identified by its extremely short barrel and vertical grip.

Franchi SPAS-12

Known only as "Shotgun" in-game, the Franchi SPAS-12 is the weapon of choice of TRAT Special Forces team leader Lieutenant Dylan Morton. Notably, Dylan fires the weapon and pumps it occasionally during the opening FMV, although he uses semi-automatic fire during gameplay and later on in FMVs.

Just like in the first Dino Crisis, the SPAS-12 is likely a reference to the original Jurassic Park (1993) film.

M16A2 with M203 Grenade Launcher

M16A2 rifles with M203 grenade launchers are standard issue among TRAT team members. Accompanying SORT agent, Regina, also uses one. Despite its prominent use in the opening sequence, it is unfortunately never available for player use.

Type 69 RPG

A Chinese Type 69 RPG is fired at the Tyrannosaur during the base attack by TRAT team member David Fork, distracting it (and destroying its right eye) long enough for Dylan and Regina to avoid becoming the main course.

Heckler & Koch MP5K

Shown wielded by Regina in promotional art and usable akimbo style by her in-game are dual Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine guns loaded with 15-round magazines. The in-game MP5Ks, unlike those in promotional images, lack vertical handgrips.

Regina stands in disappointment, lamenting that she can't use the rifle behind her or help poor little baby Triceratops because Capcom coldly pre-rendered them on the ground. Those monsters!

Heckler & Koch G3SG/1

A vaguely Heckler & Koch G3SG/1-ish rifle is seen on a pintle mount in a Range Rover commandeered by Dylan and Regina. Dylan uses the gun to fight off two angry Triceratops. The game refers to it simply as "the rifle." When the later CG cutscene featuring this vehicle plays, this "rifle" is replaced with an M249 SAW and a second M249 is added to the passenger gunner position.

FN M249 SAW

The M249 SAW appears as the "Heavy Machine Gun" in-game and is a Regina only weapon. It features an odd looking thumb hole stock. Two normal M249 SAWs with scopes are seen mounted in fore and aft pintle mounts on the Land Rover commandeered by Dylan and Regina, the latter replacing the G3-style gun used in gameplay.

Dylan immediately regrets letting Regina drive as they dive from the Land Rover after running it off a cliff following the fight with the two Triceratops. As per the "Every Car is a Pinto" rule, the vehicle immediately bursts into flames for no discernible reason upon crashing. FN M249 SAWs are visible in fore and aft mounts on the vehicle.

Walther WA 2000

The Walther WA 2000 appears mocked up as an anti-tank rifle minus a rifle scope and with synthetic furniture instead of a wooden stock and fore grip. It is a Dylan only weapon and is suspected to be of .50 caliber, judging by the size of the spent casings.

M47 Dragon

The M47 Dragon, usually used in a stationary position is mocked up as a portable anti-tank rocket launcher. Used by Dylan and David, it's the most powerful weapon in-game.

"Missile Pod"

Regina's counterpart to Dylan's M47 Dragon, the "Missile Pod" is a fictional rocket launcher that fires a rocket which then splits into three individual guided projectiles. Particularly effective against groups of Pteranodons since its three warheads can each seek out a separate target.

Heckler & Koch HK69A1

The HK69A1 is made up as a Flare gun in-game called the Signal Bullet. It is used during the Allosaur Nest and is used by both Dylan and Regina to signal for an artillery strike. Upon completion of this gameplay sequence, Regina will brashly declare "We don't need this anymore" and discard it.

AA Gun

The patrol boat used by TRAT, referred to in-game by the name "PB 31TX", is armed with an anti-aircraft gun on its stern which is later used to good effect against an army of Elasmosaurs and Pteranodons. The barrels resemble the German 3.7cm Flak M42U, but the mount appears to be fictional.

General Dynamics XM301

The RAH-66 Comanche piloted by David Fork/Falk (his last name is different depending on sources) when he rescues Dylan and Regina has a General Dynamics XM301 cannon beneath its nose, but it's never used with David instead opting for the Comanche's Hellfire missiles instead.
