Brown on Resolution (US title: Born for Glory; UK re-issue title: Forever England ) is a 1935 British war movie directed by Walter Forde and Anthony Asquith, based on the 1929 novel of the same name by C. S. Forester. After his ship was sunk by a German cruiser in the Pacific, British sailor Albert Brown and one of his mates were taken prisoner. The ship was hit during an engagement and the captain decided to anchor near a small island to make repairs. Brown took advantage of the situation to escape after stealing a rifle and some ammunition. With it, he entrenches himself on the island.
