Black Series (Série noire, a French euphemism for "bad luck") is a 1979 French crime drama directed by Alain Corneau and based on the novel "A Hell of a Woman" by Jim Thompson. Franck Poupart (Patrick Dewaere), an unfortunate door-to-door salesman, gets acquainted with Mona (Marie Trintignant), an underage prostitute. Mona persuades Franck to rob her rich aunt.
