A Slight Case of Murder was filmed in 1938 with Edward G. Robinson retired mobster named Remy Marco. At the end of prohibition Remy Marco decides to go legit and sell his beer like everyone else. But unknown to him his beer is horrible and no one wants to buy it. Almost broke he decides to go to Sarasota, New York for a break to regroup. There he has several surprises Little Dutch is waiting for him but he and his boys are knocked off when they try to double cross Innocence played by Joe Downing. Remy also finds out that his daughter is engaged to a State Trooper played by Willard Parker. He then has to juggle the bankers that are coming to foreclose on his brewery, Four dead bodies upstairs and his daughter's fiance.
