Missing Gun

Well, got bored tonight so I watched this movie because it sounded interesting. Pretty good thriller movie if you ask me. I'm going to revamp the page with some better intel on the movie as well as add some better descriptions. One thing though, in the movie Major Carver is seen with a nickel-plated handgun that I think is a Beretta 92D fitted with ivory grips. I couldn't get a better ID given it's in the climatic finale, but I think it's a 92D. Whoever can get a decent screen-cap, please up-load it. -- PaperCake 01:42, 25 January 2016 (EST)

Though not impossible, a 92D sounds awful rare to see.. Of course there's no point debating without an image, but unless it has no visible safety as well as no visible hammer, it can't be a 92D. StanTheMan (talk) 02:26, 25 January 2016 (EST)
The problem with it is that the scene where the Major draws the weapon is in the finale, which has a ton of filtering and even funhouse mirrors. I do remember not seeing a slide mounted safety at all, nor a hammer. But I don't have any good screen-capping software, so I can't exactly nab it. -- PaperCake 15:35, 25 January 2016 (EST)
I think PaperCake's right, it definitely does look like a Beretta 92D than anything. I paused the film during the climax where Carver is looking in the mirror maze and just before "David" stabs him. I think at this point, all it

needs is someone to screen-cap it and the page is pretty much finished. In the meantime, I made an edit where I included the Beretta 92D being used by Major Carver and later by Anna.

IDs

The M4 carbine isn't that - It clearly has a heavy plain barrel and not the notched barrel as well as a fixed rather than removable carry handle. Also, I'm not sure that the Benelli is a short M3, it could be an M1 Super 90 Entry - The standard Surefire forend doesn't extend all the way back to the receiver on auto Benellis, which can give it the appearance of a pump-action forend to the casual glance. In any event, the shotty in the last cap isn't the same Benelli - It seems to have a C-style grip rather than a pistol grip and different sights (perhaps a continuity error). Looking at it closer, yeah the M4A1 isn't actually an M4. I can't exactly guess what it is, it could be a Bushmaster XM-15 with a RIS handguard and an older style collapsible stock. As for the M3, I think that when the group of mercenaries open fire, it's a M1 Super 90 Entry, as I think that's the only Benelli shotgun compatible with SureFire foreends. When he enters the house, it stays the same until he gets shot in the leg, when it turns into a Remington 870 with ghost ring sights and a saddle shell holster. -- PaperCake 15:35, 25 January 2016 (EST)

Realistically it could be any AR-15 that's been converted to full auto. Excalibur01 (talk) 22:31, 25 January 2016 (EST)
