Sorry, but...oh why did you have to add Pokemon into this page? No offense, but I was expecting more cool action classics. We already got Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, Akira and of course my projects, Gunslinger Girls, and Black Lagoon...I mean, I was half expecting anime fans to put Lupin the 3rd, or Patlabor, or even some of the Macross or Gundam series, which the guns in those series are just drawings of guns. It's like someone putting up a section in the movie or TV section that usually kids see like Power Rangers, or 3 Ninjas.

I know the anime section needs more titles, but there aren't a lot of animes that involves a ton of guns or well drawn guns to actually tell what real life guns they mimic.

I'm actually surprised you remember guns in specfic episodes in Pokemon and can stomach rewatching those episodes again as an adult...unless you're a Pokemon fanboy as an adult that remembers all the Pokemon series enough and still has the song in your head and sings it in the showers.

Well is much darker, in the games set in New York, you can enslave the victims of 9/11. In a game supposed for "kids".--Dannyguns (talk) 09:53, 14 July 2017 (EDT)

Hard time

Look, I'm just messing with you, whoever you are that created the Pokemon page. I just sat through the nostalgia critic's nostalgic review of the first Pokemon movie.

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/nostalgia-critic/34-nostalgia-critic/163-pokemon-the-movie

And being reminded of an americanized Japanese kid show just brought up some bad feelings.

-Excalibur01

No Hard Feelings OK?

Just could not resist the fact that there WERE guns in this show, I felt that I should at least try to ID them. But if you wish to delete the page, go ahead. Besides, (not saying as an insult) I can stomach it. Just no hard feelings, OK?

-Anonymous

- and on an additional note: I skip the intro and go straight for the weapons. Besides, I do hate the song now, I've drained it from my mind.

Heck with it

I guess you're right, this isn't good enough for this site, so I'll delete the works so you may use the page for something else, later. (Do not block me for this, I've contributed enough to this site.)

It got guns

Well this have some guns like P90,M1928,M4 Carl Gustav in the ANIME. When a GAME would have guns I would create this page. (Ex pokèfan, stopped since 2013).--Dannyguns (talk) 14:41, 29 January 2017 (EST)

I wouldn't classify this show as an anime, more a cartoon. And cartoons generally aren't allowed. That said, 'It got guns' ain't enough of a reason regardless of the media type. Plenty of other cartoon shows and films, as well as commercials, home-made YouTube videos, and flash games 'got guns' also, and we don't allow those just because either. And I don't see where games come into play here, but in any case games aren't unilaterally allowed - only if they too have weapons detailed enough to make good IDs. There's been a number of games rejected as well. StanTheMan (talk) 02:14, 30 January 2017 (EST)
Anime is just the japanese word for cartoon, so I would think Pokemon would qualify under the rules of IMFDB, especially since it has more than one real gun in it.--Aidoru (talk) 23:29, 18 February 2017 (EST)

Is Japanese is a anime. But maybe a day some weapons will come to game.--Dannyguns (talk) 11:48, 30 January 2017 (EST)

Unofficial page

Well lets make a compromise. Lets put here ok?

Anime

The show have firearms present in some episodes, although because the series became to be targeted towards young ages, since Advanced Generation season (3rd generation in games) real life based firearms didn't appeared at all, replaced by fictional energy guns; with exeption of Team Rocket duo's launcher. Exept the "FN P90" which appeared in Advanced Generation series, all of them belong to the 1st season.

A few more guns

I didn't watch this anime, but the google search show me at least three more guns: rifle, submachine gun, rocket launcer and and a pistol. If you watch this anime, you should uploads all gun screenshots. In this case, the discussion about page eligibility may be started. Pyramid Silent (talk) 14:40, 18 February 2017 (EST)

I was about to add them but I (past version of must) log out of website.--Dannyguns (talk) 02:44, 19 February 2017 (EST)

Somebody can help me IDing?

Need ID for the unidentified SMGs and for the launcher.--Dannyguns (talk) 05:41, 21 February 2017 (EST)

SMG is MP5SD. --Slon95 (talk) 10:43, 21 February 2017 (EST)

Thank you. And the other? Bulbapedia dubbed it as "FN P90". Which of course isnt.--Dannyguns (talk) 12:12, 21 February 2017 (EST)

The launcher looks like the Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle, the early model ( M2 ) one. -SeptemberJack (talk) 13:02, 21 February 2017 (EST)
It might be a P90, just poorly drawn. BTW, the Carbine is a post-war variant since it has the bayonet lug. StanTheMan (talk) 02:11, 22 February 2017 (EST)

Thank you everybody.--Dannyguns (talk) 09:06, 22 February 2017 (EST)

Military stuff

Someone know the real life brand of Lt. Surge camos and the Assault Vest in the games?--Dannyguns (talk) 09:08, 22 February 2017 (EST)

Page

I had partly editting this page, but it's far from compliting. And, it seems, that this anime contain much more guns. Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:42, 22 February 2017 (EST)

Meh the anime is very cartoonish (and for kids), the videogames series (which is more serious and was made BEFORE the Anime) would have much more dignity but for some reason seems that dont have guns ( I will continue search for guns in the games but a bit help will be appreciated )--Dannyguns (talk) 13:02, 22 February 2017 (EST)

No, you shouldn't merge anime and VG pages, due it's different medias. So, you may upload another gun screenshots from anime. If it doesn't have real prototype, you may credited it as "Futuristic Pistol (Rifle, shotgun or launcher)" or something like that. Pyramid Silent (talk) 14:10, 22 February 2017 (EST)

I stopped watching Pokemon in 2011-2012 circa since it have became a cartoon (my parents even say that Pokemon are for kids). I just searched on Pokemon Central wiki (italian) and on Bulpapedia, the weaphonry. And then watch only the episodes with guns.--Dannyguns (talk) 07:31, 23 February 2017 (EST)

MP5SD's Mag

It might be just me, but does the MP5SD's mag placement look too straight to you? I know they do have straight 30rd mags, but it almost looks like the housing is vertical, like the MP40. Anyone else think so?

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
MP40 submachine gun - 9x19mm. Note the straight, vertical mag.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with straight "waffle"-style magazine - 9x19mm. Note the mag is straight, but not completely vertical.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
The mag looks pretty much vertical, just a tad bit too straight.

I just wanted to point this out, but honestly it could be argued both ways. Not saying we will argue, though. -SeptemberJack (talk) 13:56, 24 February 2017 (EST)

Not sure the one in the cap is entirely vertical either - It is seen at an angle. Even then still just an overlook in the artwork I reckon. Given the style of the forend and the receiver I still think an MP5 is a fair bet. It's certainly a LOT closer to it than the MP40. That said, stuff like this is why I don't believe in including pages for things like this - This leaves a bit too much to be desired here, unlike the vast majority of other animes listed where the weapons are of such good detail IDs are quite definitive. This ain't as far off as some things, but still, not what I'd consider quite good enough. Bah. StanTheMan (talk) 18:53, 24 February 2017 (EST)
I probably should have worded it better, but it definitely is a MP5SD. I though I'd just point out an error ( to me ) in the mag housing. -SeptemberJack (talk) 19:45, 24 February 2017 (EST)

Also holding the mag is incorrect way to use it.--Dannyguns (talk) 03:35, 25 February 2017 (EST)

Page construction

According this site, this series contain a few more guns: bazooka in Mystery at the Lighthouse, The Whistle Stop and A Pokémon of a Different Color!; assault rifles, and rocket launchers in Tentacool & Tentacruel; bombs in Haunter vs. Kadabra, Pokémon Scent-sation!, Pokémon Paparazzi, Pallet Party Panic, Shell Shock! and Pikachu's Vacation, tranquilizer gun in The Kangaskhan Kid, Pyramid Silent (talk) 11:31, 3 March 2017 (EST)

Sorry, if I took SO MUCH time (Almost 2 YEARS), but noted this edit. Well the rifles part is done. I don't that bombs needs to be added, they are too generic, while the "bazooka" is the same M2 Carl Gustav. So I guess is ended now.--Dannyguns (talk) 15:58, 21 March 2019 (EDT)

WTF

Just discovered that "Remoraid" is based on a "revolver". As said by developers. While that Pokemon is a fish. Same as "Octillery" which is inspired by a "cannon". Is a octopus. What's wrong with their minds? Where they see the revolver and cannon?
