Screen-used AA Arms/Kimel Industries AP-9 Pistol, Satin Nickel with muzzle brake (originally a Nickel Ruger Mini-14 Brake and mounted onto the pistol.) - 9x19mm. This was used by Mike Myers in the film Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Question

Is the Kimel AP-9 better than the Intratec TEC-9? --ThatoneguyJosh 03:50, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

It has a finer fit and finish than the TEC-9 and it feels more refined, less clunky than the action of the TEC-9. It takes the same magazines and the SAFETY is light years better than the TEC-9. MoviePropMaster2008 06:08, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Wow... well, here's something else I was curious about, what kind of combat scenario is the AP-9 good for? --ThatoneguyJosh 06:57, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Drive-bys, back alleys, schools... you know, that sort of thing. (Was that too dark?)--PistolJunkie 00:21, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Er... nah, that wasn't too dark at all. (I am assuming that you are just teasing around, so I will play along with the laughter) My thoughts was that the AP-9 is more of a gun that is designed for high-level security forces (The kind who protect V.I.P.'s) to use in the event that they need to protect the people they are guarding... unless the AP-9 is also designed for military and law enforcement use? If at all? --ThatoneguyJosh 01:23, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Personally I would keep one in my drawer with a spare. Of course I would prefer a Glock with a 33rnd magazine for extra compactness. I'm not really big on this type of design since modern handguns now can legally accept a longer magazine (Well in some states).-The Gunslinger 3 (talk) 01:25, 2 August 2013 (EDT)
