S&W automatic

Not 100% that it is a 5904, but it is a closer match than the 459. Do you have any more shots of it? In particular the right side, I can't tell if it has an ambidextrous safety. It looks like it doesn't in the last picture, but this doesn't match with the other 3rd gen features (budget 3rd gen guns like the 915 had a non-ambi safety, but you couldn't have adjustable sights on them). --commando552 (talk) 13:52, 13 April 2013 (EDT)

Apparently this screencap (which for some reason, was only posted on Nicholas Lea's actor page, and not on the films page or here on the talk page) shows him handling the pistol -

Doesn't appear to have the ambi safety here either. Perhaps it is a 459 that someone installed the newer grips on to make it pass for a newer 5904. That said, I agree this looks more like a 3rd gen S&W rather than a 2nd Gen, and there are the markings too.. I suppose it's possible they could have gotten a 5904 variant with the left-side-only safety (ala 3913/3914 LSs/NLs) - That's very unlikely, but not impossible. Bah.
