Repeat after me! --Jarhead @@@ Captain Mike Steele (Jason Isaacs): Anyone comes through this door, you give 'em two in the chest and one in the head, got it? --Black Hawk Down @@@ Art Ridzik (James Belushi): Captain Danko, you are now the proud owner of the most powerful handgun in the world.
Ivan Danko (Arnold Schwarzenegger): Soviet Podbyrin nine-point-two millimeter is world's most powerful handgun.
Art Ridzik : Come on, everybody knows the Magnum forty-four is the big boy on the block. Why do you think Dirty Harry uses it?
Ivan Danko : Who is Dirty Harry? --Red Heat
@@@ Vincent Vega (John Travolta): Why the f*** didn't you tell us somebody was in the bathroom? Slipped your mind? Did you forget that somebody was in there with a g**damn hand cannon? --Pulp Fiction @@@ Jules Winfield (Samuel L. Jackson): Did you see the size of that gun he fired at us? It was bigger than him! --Pulp Fiction @@@ Ash (Bruce Campbell): Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun. --Army of Darkness @@@ Deputy US Marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones): I noticed on the boat you finally went with the Glock.
DSS Agent John Royce (Robert Downey Jr.): Yeah, Glock .40, just like yours. --U.S. Marshals @@@ Burt Gummer (Michael Gross): I am completely out of ammo! That's never happened to me before! --Tremors 2: Aftershocks @@@ Burt Gummer (Michael Gross): What do you think, max firepower or this?
Heather Gummer (Reba McEntire): I'd go for penetration. The .458, shootin' solids, less ammo to carry. -- Tremors @@@ Burt Gummer (Michael Gross): Grizzly single-shot, fifty caliber BMG based on a World War One anti-tank cartridge.
Earl Bassett (Fred Ward): Anti-tank?
Burt Gummer: Had the bullets custom-cast from solid bronze. --Tremors 2: Aftershocks @@@ Burt Gummer (Michael Gross): Heather's not coming back.
Earl Bassett (Fred Ward): No?
Burt Gummer: Called me and told me to send her the HK91. Tremors 2: Aftershocks @@@ Earl Bassett (Fred Ward): Shotguns? We're not hunting rabbits down here, Burt!
Burt Gummer (Michael Gross): Not shotguns, double rifles! Elephant guns! Westley-Richards .480, 375 H and H mag. Knock-down power up the ying-yang, treat them well! But hold them good and tight to your shoulder or it'll break your collarbone! --Tremors 2: Aftershocks @@@ Tony Montana (Al Pacino): Say hello to my little friend! --Scarface @@@ Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger): Between your faith and my Glock nine millimeter, I take my Glock. --End of Days @@@ Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger): You take the gun. Here's the magazine, put it in, load, only pull the trigger when you're ready. --End of Days @@@ The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger): Twelve gauge autoloader.
Pawn Shop Clerk (Dick Miller): That's Italian. It can go pump, or auto. --The Terminator @@@ The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger): The .45 Long Slide, with laser sighting.
Pawn Shop Clerk (Dick Miller): These are brand new; we just got them in. That's a good gun. Just touch the trigger, the beam comes on and you put the red dot where you want the bullet to go. You can't miss. Anything else?
The Terminator: Phased-plasma rifle in the forty watt range.
Pawn Shop Clerk: Hey, just what you see, pal. --The Terminator @@@ The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger): The Uzi nine millimeter.

Private Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence (Vincent D'Onofrio): Seven-six-two millimeter. Full. Metal. Jacket. --Full Metal Jacket @@@ Jules Winfield (Samuel L. Jackson): We should have shotguns for this kind of deal. --Pulp Fiction @@@ Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway (Clint Eastwood): This is the AK-47 assault rifle, the preferred weapon of your enemy, and it makes a very distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it. --Heartbreak Ridge @@@ Dwight (Clive Owen): (narrating) Where to fight counts for a lot...
Manute (Michael Clarke Duncan): Cute trick, McCarthy... but it will do you no good...
Dwight: But there's nothing like having your friends show up... With lotsa guns... --Sin City @@@ Sergeant Hodges (Matt Gerald): What is this?
Robert (Josh Hutcherson): A rifle.
Sergeant Hodges: That's right, motard. A Marine and his rifle, is the baddest s***-kicking weapon in the world! --Red Dawn (2012) @@@ John Hartigan (Bruce Willis): (narrating) He's a decent shot. He's got skill, but he's in too much of a hurry. Throwing away bullets like they were candy. He doesn't know how to take his time. Aim careful and look the devil in the eye. -- Sin City @@@ Yuri Orlov (Nicolas Cage): Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. Finch (Stephen Rea): What usually happens when people without guns stand up to people with guns. --V for Vendetta @@@ Creedy (Tim Pigott-Smith): Bollocks. Whatchya gonna do, huh? We've swept this place. You've got nothing. Nothing but your bloody knives and your fancy karate gimmicks. We have guns.
V (Hugo Weaving): No, what you have are bullets, and the hope that when your guns are empty I'm no longer standing, because if I am you'll all be dead before you've reloaded. --V for Vendetta @@@ William Munny (Clint Eastwood): I see you still have that Spencer rifle.
Ned Logan (Morgan Freeman): Yeah... And I can still knock the eye off a bird flyin' too. --Unforgiven @@@ Agent Al D’Andrea (Dylan McDermott): You knew the gun was empty, right? I mean, you knew from the weight of the gun, that the chamber was empty, am I right?
Agent Frank Horrigan (Clint Eastwood): Well, there could have been one bullet. --In the Line of Fire @@@ Joe/The Man With No Name (Clint Eastwood): When a man with a .45 meets a man with a rifle, you said, the man with a pistol's a dead man. Let's see if that's true. Go ahead, load up and shoot. --A Fistful of Dollars @@@ Frank Castle (Thomas Jane): Your 1911 Colts, you've done something to them.
Frank Castle Sr. (Roy Scheider): Yeah, I bored the chambers, customized the triggers, and added some compensators. They used to be pretty good; now they're nail drivers. --The Punisher (2004) @@@ Insp. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood): I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question; "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk? --Dirty Harry @@@ Superintendent Pang (Philip Chan): Give a guy a gun, he thinks he's Superman. Give him two and he thinks he's God! --Hard Boiled @@@ Ah Jong (Chow Yun-Fat): Easy to pick up, hard to put down. --The Killer @@@ Deputy US Marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones): Got a backup weapon?
Special Agent John Royce (Robert Downey Jr.): Never had the need.
Gerard: Get one. Keep it in your suit unless I tell you to take it out. Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol. --U.S. Marshals @@@ Shane (Alan Ladd): A gun is a tool, Marion; no better or worse than the man who uses it. --Shane @@@ Little Bill Daggett (Gene Hackman): Well, sir, you are a cowardly son of a bitch! You just shot an unarmed man!
William Munny (Clint Eastwood): Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend. --Unforgiven @@@ Lucky Ned Pepper (Robert Duvall): What's your intention? Do you think one on four is a dogfall?
Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne): I mean to kill you in one minute, Ned. Or see you hanged in Fort Smith at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?
Lucky Ned Pepper: I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!
Rooster Cogburn: Fill your hand, you son of a bitch! --True Grit (1969) @@@ Goudy (Alfred Ryder): Now is it not true that you sprang up on old man Wharton and his two sons with a deadly, six-shot revolver in your hand?
Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne): I always try to be ready.
Goudy: Was this revolver loaded and cocked?
Rooster Cogburn: Well, a gun that's unloaded and cocked ain't good for nothin'. -- True Grit (1969) @@@ Alexa "Lex" Woods (Sanaa Lathan): Seven seasons on the ice, and I've never seen a gun save someone's life.
Adele Rousseau (Agathe De La Boulaye): I don't plan on using it.
Alexa "Lex" Woods: Then why bring it?
Adele Rousseau: Same principle as a condom. I'd rather have one and not need it, than need one and not have it. --Alien vs. Predator @@@ Josey Wales (Clint Eastwood): Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie? --The Outlaw Josey Wales @@@ Insp. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood): Well, we're not just gonna let you walk out of here. Crook: Who's "we", sucka? Insp. Harry Callahan: Smith and Wesson... and me. --Sudden Impact @@@ Korean Thug Kim (Walter Wong): What the f*** is this? We said a machine gun!
Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves): It is a machine gun.
Korean Boss Kim (Ken Choi): The kind you can carry!
Tom Ludlow: Couldn't get any of those. This baby's got character. Korean War vintage. Maybe even mowed down one of your grandpapa-sans when he was charging the wire at Inchon. -- Street Kings @@@ Valentin Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrane): Walther PPK, Seven-Point-Six-Five-Millimeter. Only three men I know use such a gun... and I believe I've killed two of them.
James Bond (Pierce Brosnan): Lucky me, then. -- GoldenEye @@@ Insp. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood): Not bad.
Horace King (Albert Popwell): Not bad, my ass! You've got to strain the remains for the fingerprints!
Insp. Harry Callahan: Well, this is the .44 Magnum Auto Mag and it holds a 300 grain cartridge. And, if properly used, it can remove the fingerprints. -- Sudden Impact @@@ Casey (Thomas Jane): [to himself] There's a .45 in the fridge and you grab a f**king frying pan. I must have some really bad karma. -- Thursday @@@ Gillom Rogers (Ron Howard): Mr. Books, my grouping of shots was tighter than yours. How is it you've killed so many men?
John Bernard Books (John Wayne): First thing is, that target wasn't shooting back at you. Second, most men at that last second will flinch; I won't. --The Shootist @@@ Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): Forty-four Mag Desert Eagle. Eight in the clip, one in the pipe. That's nice, man. -- Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): Guns are made to be shot, Harley, not thrown. -- Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): Squeeze the trigger, Harley, don't yank it. It's not your d***! -- Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): Hey, Harley, why don't you throw that shotgun? Maybe you'll hit something! -- Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Guard (Jordan Lund): You're about the deadest shot I've ever seen. Where'd you learn to do that?
Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): Read a book, it came with the gun. -- Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Yuri Orlov (Nicolas Cage): There are over five hundred and fifty million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other eleven? --Lord of War @@@ Yuri Orlov (Nicolas Cage): Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9-pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. --Lord of War @@@ Elliott Marston (Alan Rickman): Ah, the legendary Sharps.
Matthew Quigley (Tom Selleck): You know your weapons. It's a lever-action breech loader. Usual barrel length is thirty inches. This one has an extra four. It's converted to use a special forty-five caliber, hundred and ten grain metal cartridge, with a five-hundred forty grain paper patch bullet. It's fitted with double set triggers, and a Vernier sight. It's marked up to twelve-hundred yards. This one shoots a mite further.
Elliot Marston: An experimental weapon with experimental ammunition.
Matthew Quigley: You could call it that.
Elliot Marston: Let's experiment. -- Quigley Down Under @@@ Matthew Quigley (Tom Selleck): You've got one shot left in that shooter. Make the most of it. -- Quigley Down Under @@@ Casper (Andrew Friedman): What's with all the guns?
Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant): Operational prudence. Think of them as hardware to your software. --Live Free or Die Hard @@@ Sean Archer (John Travolta): Castor, your time's up.
Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage): (laughs) Well, you better hit me, Sean, 'cause you only got one bullet left.
Sean Archer: So do you.
Castor Troy: Wow! We've got something in common. We both know our guns. --Face/Off @@@ The Caller (Kiefer Sutherland): (chambers rifle) Now doesn't that just torque your jaws? I love that. You know like in the movies just as the good guy is about to kill the bad guy, he cocks his gun. Now why didn't he have it cocked? Because that sound is scary. It's cool, isn't it? --Phone Booth @@@ Bob (Gabriel Byrne): Rule Number One...Never chamber the first round. -- Point of No Return @@@ Turk (Robert De Niro): Most people respect the badge. Everyone respects the gun. -- Righteous Kill @@@ Al Capone (Robert De Niro): I grew up in a tough neighborhood, and we used to say that you can get further with a kind word and a gun then just a kind word. -- The Untouchables (1987) @@@ Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover): That's some serious sh** you carry.
Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson): Be my guest. (unloads and then hands over the Beretta)
Roger Murtaugh: Nine millimeter Beretta. Takes fifteen in the mag, one up the pipe, wide ejection port, no feed jams. -- Lethal Weapon @@@ Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson): What'd you got in there?
Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover): Four-inch Smith.
Martin Riggs: Six-shooter, huh? Lot of old timers carry those. -- Lethal Weapon @@@ Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson): When I was nineteen, I did a guy in Laos from a thousand yards out. A rifle shot in high wind. Maybe eight or even ten guys in the world could have made that shot. It was the only thing I was ever good at. --Lethal Weapon @@@ Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson): Now that's a real badge, I'm a real cop, and this is a real f***ing gun! -- Lethal Weapon @@@ Insp. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood): I just work for the city, Briggs.
Lt. Briggs (Hal Holbrook): So do I. Longer than you. And I never had to take my gun of its holster once. I'm proud of that.
Insp. Harry Callahan: Well, you're a good man, Lieutenant. A good man always knows his limitations. --Magnum Force @@@ Officer Sweet (Tim Matheson): What kind of a load you carry in that .44?
Insp. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood): It's a light special. This size gun it gives you better control and less recoil than a .357 with wadcutters. --Magnum Force @@@ Officer Nick Styles (Denzel Washington): You've got an Ithaca thirty-seven twelve gauge sawed-off shotgun with a five pound slide. By the time it takes you to pump it one time, I'll have three bullets in your chest, maybe one in your head and I'll be on my way back to the station eatin' donuts and doing paperwork. Now I love donuts, but I hate the paperwork. --Ricochet @@@ Officer Nick Styles (Denzel Washington): I guess a Beretta in the butt beats a Butterfly in the boot, huh?--Ricochet @@@ Clarence Boddicker (Kurtwood Smith): Ooooo! Guns! Guns! Guns! --RoboCop @@@ Captain Mike Steele (Jason Isaacs): Delta or no Delta, that's a hot weapon. You know better than that. Safety should be on at all times on base.
SFC Norm "Hoot" Gibson (Eric Bana): (raises trigger finger and imitates pulling a trigger) Well, this is my safety, sir. --Black Hawk Down @@@ Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): You know that gun costs about two bucks every time you fire it? That's two bucks a bullet!
Harley Davidson (Mickey Rourke): Well, how many did I hit?
Marlboro Man (Don Johnson): You spent twelve bucks and didn't hit a g**damn thing! --Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man @@@ Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell): Go ahead. Skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens. --Tombstone @@@ LAPD Helicopter Pilot (Chuck Tamburro): That's a damn Minigun! --Terminator 2: Judgment Day @@@ Sheriff Tod Shaw (Sterling Hayden): Don't play God just because you've got a gun.
John Baron (Frank Sinatra): But you see, Sheriff, that's the way it is. When you've got a gun you are a sort of god. If you had a gun, I'd be the chump and you'd be the god. The gun gives you the power of life and death. --Suddenly @@@ Cody (Danny McBride): It's a pretty cool sidearm you got there. What is it?
Four Leaf Tayback (Nick Nolte): I don't know what it's called. I just know the sound it makes when it takes a man's life. --Tropic Thunder @@@ Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell): Where did you get the gun, Colonel?
Lt. Col. Frank Slade (Al Pacino): Piece or weapon, Charlie, never a gun. --Scent of a Woman @@@ Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery): You, carry a badge?
Wallace (Charles Martin Smith): Yes?
Malone: Carry a gun. -- The Untouchables (1987) @@@ Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery): Oh what's the matter? Can't you talk with a gun in your mouth? --The Untouchables (1987) @@@ Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery): Ain't that just like a w**? Brings a knife to a gunfight! --The Untouchables (1987) @@@ Bones Darley (John Goodman): (picks up Colt Python) You've got the bastards of bastards. A three-fifty-seven, for guaranteed head removal. That's... that's a sweetie. (picks up an M1911A1) You got your standard size forty-five supersize. That's a f***in' Hungryman right there! (picks up Desert Eagle) And you got the king of mayhem. Half cannon, sword of justice. Take this f***er to the Holy Land start your own crusade. Any one of these is bound to make you feel better about what's bothering you. -- Death Sentence @@@ Bones Darley (John Goodman): Go with God....and a bag full of guns. -- Death Sentence @@@ Det. Matthew Sykes (James Caan): What in the hell's this?
Range Master: Four-five-four Casull. We're talking twice the impact energy of a .44 Magnum Hot Load.
Sykes: Only holds five.
Range Master: Shells are too big for six in the cylinder. Hell, Matt, you only need one!
Sykes: No...two. -- Alien Nation @@@ Blondie (Clint Eastwood): Every gun makes its own tune. --The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly @@@ Blondie (Clint Eastwood): Six, the perfect number.
Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef): I thought three was the perfect number.
Blondie: I've got six more bullets in my gun. --The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly @@@ Blondie (Clint Eastwood): You see, in this world, there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns...and those who dig. --The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly @@@ Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Beckett (Tom Berenger): Their idea of combat is tearing up the countryside with heavy artillery and millions of rounds. We'll wait days, for one shot, one kill. -- Sniper @@@ Thomas Beckett (Tom Berenger): Your weapon, Miller! It's your life! You knew that, and you saved it. -- Sniper @@@ Pete Clemenza (Richard S. Castellano): Leave the gun. Take the cannoli. --The Godfather @@@ Pete Clemenza (Richard S. Castellano): This is as cold as they come. Impossible to trace, so you don't worry about prints, Mike. I put a special tape on the trigger and the butt. Here, try it. -- The Godfather @@@ Pete Clemenza (Richard S. Castellano): Here, try it. What's the matter, trigger too tight?
Michael Corleone (Al Pacino): (Fires the S&W 36) Madonna! My ears!
Pete Clemenza: I left it loud on purpose. Yeah, I left it noisy. That way it scares any pain-in-the-ass innocent bystanders away. -- The Godfather @@@ Pete Clemenza (Richard S. Castellano): All right, you shot them both, now what do you do?
Michael Corleone (Al Pacino): Sit down and finish my dinner.
Pete Clemenza: Come on, kid, don't fool around. Just let your hand drop to your side and the gun slip out. Everyone will still think you've got it. -- The Godfather @@@ Sonny Corleone (James Caan): What do you think, this is the Army where you shoot 'em a mile away? You've gotta get up close like this, Badabing! You blow their brains all over your nice Ivy League suit! --The Godfather @@@ Sonny Corleone (James Caan): I want somebody good, and I mean, very good to plant that gun. I don't want my brother comin' out of that toilet with just his d*** in his hands, all right? -- The Godfather @@@ Easy Andy (Steven Prince): You interested in an automatic? It's a Colt twenty-five automatic. It's a nice little gun. It's a beautiful little gun. Holds six shots in the clip, one in the chamber, if you're dumb enough to put a round in the chamber. -- Taxi Driver @@@ Easy Andy (Steven Prince): The Magnum, they use that in Africa for killin' elephants. -- Taxi Driver @@@ Easy Andy (Steven Prince): That .38, that's a fine gun. Some of these guns, they're like toys. That .38, you go out and hammer nails with it all day, come back and it will cut dead center on target every time. It's got a really nice action to it, and a heck of a wallup to it. -- Taxi Driver @@@ Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro): You got a .44 Magnum?
Easy Andy (Steven Prince): It's a real expensive weapon.
Travis Bickle: That's all right. I got money.
Easy Andy: It's a real monster. Stop a car at a hundred yards. Put a round right through the engine block. -- Taxi Driver @@@ Mac (Bill Duke): I know one thing, Major. I drew down and fired straight at it. Capped off two hundred rounds in the minigun, full pack...nothing, on this earth could have lived. Not at that range. -- Predator @@@ Nicholas Parsons (Bruce Greenwood): Are you going to do something?
Travis Lehman (Tommy Lee Jones): What are you looking at me for? She's the one with the gun! --Double Jeopardy @@@ DS Andy Wainwright (Paddy Considine): You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city?
DC Andy Cartwright (Rafe Spall): Everybody and their mums is packing 'round here.
Sgt. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg): Like who?
DS Andy Wainwright: Farmers.
Sgt. Nicholas Angel: Who else?
DC Andy Cartwright: Farmers' mums. -- Hot Fuzz @@@ Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal): "I'm going to give this assault rifle, it's an MP5. There's a selector switch on it, one is fully automatic and one is semi-automatic. The definition of semi-automatic is for when you depress the trigger, one round will go off. That's what I wanna give you, I want you to spend one round at a time!" -- Under Siege @@@ Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal): "This is a .45, okay? Dynamic tension, left hand, right hand, palms pressed together, okay? Cover your ass, twelve, three, six, nine, wherever you look, always. Never look in a direction where the gun ain't pointed." -- Under Siege 2: Dark Territory @@@ Brad Whitaker (Joe Don Baker): "You've had your eight, now I'll have my eighty! Sorry to say your popgun is no match for the latest body armor!" -- The Living Daylights @@@ Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman): You pretty good with that shotgun?
Karen Kim (Helen Kim): Not that I have to be at this range, but I'm a f***ing surgeon with this shotgun! -- Kill Bill Vol. 2 @@@ SFC Norm "Hoot" Gibson (Eric Bana): Nice, man! Very smooth!
MSGT Gary Gordon (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau): Single shot through the engine block! -- Black Hawk Down @@@ Sgt. Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford): You got a live gun here, you're gonna get yourself shot!
Det. K.C. Calden (Josh Hartnett): What are you talkin' about? It's a standard issue Beretta, fifteen shots, I counted! Sgt. Joe Gavilan: And one in the spout! -- Hollywood Homicide @@@ Chance Boudreaux (Jean Claude Van Damme): You still got the thirty-aught-six? The one I give you for your birthday? Uncle Douvee (Wilford Brimley): No, a gator ate it. But, uh, I still got your shotgun. -- Hard Target @@@ Officer Harris (Ray Baker): I did two tours in Vietnam, and there are two things you never forget: how many days you were in, and the sound of a Chinese-made AK-47 machine gun. -- 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shootout @@@ Officer Harris (Ray Baker): Those two guys were packin' AK's, and I had a 9 millimeter Beretta. I was in the wrong place with the wrong gun! -- 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shootout @@@ Officer Donnie Anderson (Ron Livingston): Guys, we're looking at multiple suspects, assault rifles, and body armor. Do not deploy the MP5's, leave 'em in the trunk. We're going to go .223's only! -- 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shootout @@@ Det. Gina Calabrese (Elizabeth Rodriguez): What will happen is, what will happen is, I will put a round at 2700 feet per second into the medulla at the base of your brain. And you'll be dead from the neck down before your body knows it. Your finger won't even twitch, only you get dead. So tell me, Sport, do you believe that? -- Miami Vice (2006) @@@ Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson): When I was your age, they used to say, "you become cops or criminals". What I'm saying to you is this, when you're facing a loaded gun, what's the difference? -- The Departed @@@ Lt. Col. Nathan Jessup (Jack Nicholson): Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's going to do it, you? -- A Few Good Men @@@ FBI Director Womack (John Spencer): Well, earlier today you wanted a gun. Now you're getting a gun and a wetsuit. -- The Rock @@@ Dr. Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage): Well, there's a problem, sir, he's got a gun!
Special Agent Ernest Paxton (William Forsythe): What do you have, a f***in' water pistol? -- The Rock @@@ Alley Agent (Robert Thomas): Hey, honey, this is a real big f**king gun!
Mitch Henessey (Samuel L. Jackson): This ain't no ham on rye, Pal!
Charly Baltimore (Geena Davis): What the hell are you doing?
Mitch Henessey: Saving your life. I would have been here sooner, but I was thinkin' up that 'ham on rye' line. -- The Long Kiss Goodnight @@@ Lt. Thaddeus Harris (G.W. Bailey) Son, where did you get this gun?
Eugene Tackleberry (David Graf): My mom gave it to me! -- Police Academy @@@ Sgt. Kirkland (Colleen Camp): It's a Colt Python.
Officer Tackleberry (David Graf): What kind of load you use?
Sgt. Kirkland: One fifty-eight grain jacketed semi-wadcutter man stoppers.
Officer Tackleberry: Sensible weapon. -- Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment @@@ Officer Tackleberry (David Graf): I use a factory accurised Detonics .45 Scoremaster. It's got the extended barrel for the silencer, short hammerfall, and I load it with 230 grain full patch rounds. It's primarily for stopping power.
Sgt. Kirkland (Colleen Camp): On the other hand, if you want penetration, a .357 round will crack the engine block of a truck.
Officer Tackleberry: I can see where that would be useful. -- Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment @@@ Spurgeon (Jim Zubiena): You checked out a Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog?
Will Graham (William Petersen): Yeah.
Spurgeon: Load these in it. You ever fired 'em?
Graham: Glaser Safety Slugs.
Spurgeon: Yeah, number 12 shots. Suspended in liquid Teflon in a copper casing. On impact, it all opens up in the target. Guaranteed one-shot stop. -- Manhunter @@@ SSgt. Monfriez (Lou Diamond Phillips): Colonel, you know what you do if you get a hangfire when you pull the trigger and the round doesn't go off?
Col. Serling (Denzel Washington): Yes, I do.
SSgt. Monfriez (Lou Diamond Phillips): You wait...with your weapon pointed in a safe direction, right? Because sometimes the primer burns so you'll open your weapon up and take the round out, it blows up in your face! Leave this round in the chamber, Colonel. -- Courage Under Fire @@@ Julia: Why are you giving me a gun?
Ethan Hunt: There could be others. If you have to use it, you stay low. You identify your enemy. Point and shoot. It's very simple. Point and shoot. -- Mission: Impossible III @@@ Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving): I want exactly what you want. I want everything!
Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne): Would that include a bullet from this gun? -- The Matrix Reloaded @@@ Hale Caesar (Terry Crews): You know, the enemy has been always been terrified of noise, especially shotguns. With this baby spittin' out two hundred and fifty rounds per minute, you tell me who's toleratin' that? Absolutely zero. -- The Expendables @@@ James Munroe (Eric Roberts): First of all, I'm not entirely comfortable talking business with a giant carrying a shotgun. -- The Expendables @@@ Reporter: Well, the people at home are interested in you, General. They're curious about your pearl-handled revolvers.
Gen. George S. Patton (George C. Scott): They're ivory. Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would carry a pearl-handled pistol. -- Patton @@@ Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson): Now that there is the TEC-9, a crappy spray gun from South Miami. This gun is advertised as the most popular gun in American crime. Do you believe that sh*t? It actually says that in the little book that comes with it: the most popular gun in American crime. Like they're actually proud of that sh*t. -- Jackie Brown @@@ Carla Jean Moss (Kelly Macdonald): Where'd you get the pistol?
Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin): At the gettin' place. -- No Country for Old Men @@@ Seth Gecko (George Clooney): Rule number one. No noise, no questions. If you make a noise, Mister .44 makes a noise. If you ask a question, Mister .44 answers it. Now are you absolutely, positively clear about rule number one? -- From Dusk Till Dawn @@@ James Bond (Sean Connery): It's a Smith & Wesson...and you've had your six. -- Dr. No @@@ James Bond (Sean Connery): I've used the Beretta for ten years. And I've never missed with it yet. -- Dr. No @@@ Maj. Boothroyd (Peter Burton): Walther PPK. 7.65 mil with a delivery like a brick through a plate glass window. Takes a Brausch silencer with very little reduction in muzzle velocity. The American CIA swear by them. -- Dr. No @@@ James Bond (Pierce Brosnan): The new Walther. I asked Q to get me one of these. -- Tomorrow Never Dies @@@ Det. Rydel (Larry Joshua): What kinda sh*t you carryin'? Man, that ain't regulation.
Det. Richie Marks (Sam Elliott): This is the weapon I use to exercise my constitutional right to bear arms. -- Shakedown @@@ Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges): You could not hit a man at 300 yards if your gun was resting on Gibraltar.

Lon McQ (John Wayne) Jack, neither am I. -- McQ @@@ Mr. Blue (Robert Shaw): (while holding the Smith & Wesson 76) Ladies and gentlemen, do you see this gun? In other words, if all of you simultaneously were to rush me, not a single one of you would get any closer than you are right now. -- The Taking of Pelham One Two Three @@@ Chico (Horst Buchholz): That's the greatest shot I've ever seen!
Britt (James Coburn): The worst! I was aiming for the horse! -- The Magnificent Seven @@@ Cooper (Kevin McKidd): High spirits are just no substitute for eight hundred rounds a minute. -- Dog Soldiers @@@ Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy): Yo, man, what's that for?
Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold): After the shootout at the club, I figured I needed more firepower!
Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) Yo, man, we gotta talk seriously! Who do you think you are? Clint Eastwood? Dirty Rosewood? -- Beverly Hills Cop II @@@ Sgt. Jack Colt (Emilio Estevez): I know what you're thinking, punk! You're thinking, "did he fire 173 times or 174"? -- Loaded Weapon 1 @@@ Regina (Catherine Mary Stewart): Oh come on, the MAC-10 sub-machine gun was practically invented for housewives. -- Night of the Comet @@@ Charles 'Chick' Chapple (Will Patton): Oh, man! Why do you have a gun in space? -- Armageddon @@@ Denys Finch Hatton (Robert Redford): Doesn't that outfit come with a rifle?
Karen Blixen (Meryl Streep): It's on my saddle.
Denys Finch Hatton (Robert Redford): Better keep it with you. Your horse isn't much of a shot.-- Out of Africa @@@ Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen): You don't need the gun, Commander.
James Bond (Pierce Brosnan): Well, that depends on your definition of safe sex. -- Goldeneye @@@ Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery): Automatic rifles! Who in God's name has automatic rifles?
Old Hunter: Yes, unsporting! Probably Belgian! -- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen @@@ Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery): Now, would you like to learn how to shoot?
Agent Tom Sawyer (Shane West): I can already.
Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery): Oh, I saw. Very American! Fire enough bullets and hope to hit the target! -- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen @@@ Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg): My second rule: the Double Tap. In those moments when you're not sure that the undead are really dead-dead, don't get all stingy with your bullets. --Zombieland @@@ Insp. Kate Moore (Tyne Daly): Every other cop in this city is satisfied with a .38 or .357. Why do you have to carry that cannon for?
Insp. Harry Callahan: 'Cause I hit what I aim at, that's why. .357's a good weapon, but I've seen .38's careen off windshields, no good in a city like this.
Insp. Kate Moore (Tyne Daly): I see. So it's, um, it's for the penetration. -- The Enforcer @@@ Rawlins (Morgan Freeman): .57 caliber Enfield rifle-musket. Best in the world here, Boy! --Glory @@@ Col. Robert Gould Shaw (Matthew Broderick): A good man can fire three aimed shots in a minute. --Glory @@@ Snow (Guy Pearce): Here's an apple, and a gun. I don't believe it's in Mississippi. --O Brother, Where Art Thou? @@@ Charlie Rakes (Guy Pearce): Sheriff, do you have any idea what a Thompson submachine gun does to 'immortal'? --Lawless @@@ Leon (Jean Reno): The rifle is the first weapon you learn how to use, because it lets you keep your distance from the client. --The Professional @@@ Det. Sherman Touhey (John Goodman): Where the hell do you learn that? That's like watchin' a movie! Det. Frank Keller (Al Pacino): Yeah, well, it keeps me fit, you know. I get in a beef with a guy, I hit him fast, I hit him a lot, I'm out of there. I don't like getting hurt, you know what I mean? Det. Sherman Touhey (John Goodman): Well, that's why God gave fat guys guns, so we wouldn't have to do that stuff! --Sea of Love @@@ Frankie Figg (Michael Clarke Duncan): You know I can't think of nothin' finer than a fine naked woman holding a gun. -- The Whole Nine Yards @@@ Guard: I don't know whether to open fire or fall in love!

Street Kings is a 2008 American crime thriller directed by David Ayer (the writer of Training Day and the director of Harsh Times) and stars Keanu Reeves as Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD Vice detective who finds himself questioning the actions he's had to take in the line of duty when he's involved in a shootout that led to the death of his former partner. The film was based on an original screenplay from James Ellroy (the author of L.A. Confidential) and co-stars Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans, Terry Crews, and Hugh Laurie. An unrelated sequel, Street Kings 2: Motor City, was released on video in 2011.

The following weapons were used in the film Main Page:

Handguns

Smith & Wesson 4506-1

Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) uses a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 with Novak LoMount sights as his on-duty sidearm, but uses a customized Colt Mk IV Series 80 for his off-duty activities. He most notably uses it near the beginning of the film, when he hides it in the trunk of a car and uses it to single-handedly takes down four Korean slavers. Although it is not visible in the film, the 4506 used in the film has a pair of snake eyes dice and "Vice Special" printed on the right side of the slide between the ejection port and the muzzle. This 4506 was later re-used in several episodes of the TV series Dark Blue (which had the same armorer as this film).

Custom Colt Mk IV Series 80

Detective Tom Ludlow carries a Colt Mk IV Series 80 pistol as his off-duty sidearm. The .45 is customized with raised adjustable sights, beaver tail grip safety, a combat hammer, extended ambidextrous slide stop safety, extended slide release, beveled magazine well, stainless barrel, and long type combat trigger. The magazines Ludlow uses also have butt pads.

The particular Series 80 from Street Kings would later be re-used in several other films and TV series, carried by Dylan McDermott in Dark Blue and Cole Hauser in Chase. Special thanks to Terence Morgan, the armorer on all three productions, who provided the picture of the weapon (as seen below).
