UK Version of the VHS release Poster - Extreme Prejudice (1987)

Interesting movie written by John Milius, and directed by Walter Hill. The final shootout is somewhat reminiscent of Sam Peckinpah's "The Wild Bunch". The producers hired Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson as a consultant. There are many interesting guns in the movie. To name a few:

Colt Commander

A Colt Commander was the main service sidearm of real life Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson. Nick Nolte bought a .45 Colt Commander, just like the one owned by Jackson, including the custom grips and also an identical holster to carry the gun, to use it in the film. However, in his autobiography "One Ranger", Jackson remembers that the .45 Commander was not reliable with blanks. Therefore, a 9mm Colt Commander was used instead. Jack Benteen's (Nick Nolte) sidearm in the film is thus a 9mm Colt Commander.

Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine

Jack Benteen (Nick Nolte) carries a Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine as his long gun in the film. In real life, Joaquin Jackson carried similar rifle, a Winchester 1894.
