: I might be wrong, but I was under the impression all Series 80 and newer Colt guns have flat mainspring housings, not curved as on earlier guns, and indeed, the gun in that image. Again though, I could be wrong, that is one of MPM's images and I don't necessarily wanna call him on it (it simply could have just been a Series 80 slide built with an older-style frame perhaps, or something). That aside, I think it works fine to represent the gun on the listing as opposed to this one - The gun in the screencaps also has a curved mainspring housing, along with an A1-style hammer whereas the above image is of a M1911 which doesn't have either. : First off ''I'' might be wrong here, but I was under the impression all Series 80 and newer Colt guns have flat mainspring housings akin to the original 1911, not curved as on A1s and Series 70 guns, and indeed, the gun in that image. Again though, I could be wrong - That is one of MPM's screen-used images and I don't necessarily wanna call him on it (it simply could have just been a Series 80 slide built with an older-style frame perhaps, or something). '''That aside''', I think it works fine to represent the gun on the listing as opposed to this one - The gun in the screencaps also has a curved mainspring housing, along with an A1-style hammer and eject port whereas the above image is of a M1911 which of course doesn't have any of those. Nickel plated M1911

So, I know that our current photo in all of the supernatural pages if a nickel plated Colt MKIV Series 80 for Dean's nickel M1911A1. But, I think this picture below is actually closer to the actual pistol. I could be wrong --Bauer2121 (talk) 18:59, 7 November 2016 (EST)

First off I might be wrong here, but I was under the impression all Series 80 and newer Colt guns have flat mainspring housings akin to the original 1911, not curved as on A1s and Series 70 guns, and indeed, the gun in that image. Again though, I could be wrong - That is one of MPM's screen-used images and I don't necessarily wanna call him on it (it simply could have just been a Series 80 slide built with an older-style frame perhaps, or something). That aside, I think it works fine to represent the gun on the listing as opposed to this one - The gun in the screencaps also has a curved mainspring housing, along with an A1-style hammer and eject port whereas the above image is of a M1911 which of course doesn't have any of those.
