Tulyak - 23x75mmR

The OF-93 is a Russian-made single-shot break-action shotgun, developed in the early 1990s as a weapon meant primarily for farm use. It notably featured a 4-gauge (by European measurements) barrel with an optional screw-in 12-gauge insert that stuck out beyond it, allowing the weapon to fire either standard 12-gauge shells with the insert, or the 26.5mm flares used by the SPSh Flare Pistol (or apparently the 4-gauge rubber slug shells from the TOZ-123 "Drake-4") without. Additionally, despite being single-action only, it lacks an external hammer spur or striker extension; instead, the large wedge on the front of the grip must be squeezed in to cock the weapon, similarly to the Heckler & Koch P7. Ultimately, the weapon didn't see any substantial success.

One additional variant of note was developed, dubbed the "Tulyak"; this version was intended for law enforcement, and was chambered for the same 23x75mmR shells used by the KS-23, being meant as simpler, more compact alternative to it, with the added bonus of still being compatible with the OF-93's drop-in 12-gauge barrel. It apparently found some use in this role, though the inherent issues with firing full-pressure 23mm shells out of what effectively amounted to a large handgun (among other things) meant that it was never particularly popular.
