The Nada Gang (original title Nada, Spanish for "nothing") is a 1974 French-Italian crime thriller directed by Claude Chabrol. A leftist terrorist group kidnaps the US ambassador in France. Commissaire Goemond investigates the case, using the most cruel and merciless methods.

M1911-style pistol

In the opening scene André Épaulard (Maurice Garrel) thinks about suicide, holding his M1911-style pistol at his head. The pistol appears to be nickel plated, and the cocking serration differs from standard M1911/1911A1 pistols.

In the final scene Commissaire Goemond (Michel Aumont) carries a snub nose revolver. It isn't seen clear enough to be identified for sure but it resembles Smith & Wesson Model 36.
