Rifles

M16A1

Israel Defense Force (IDF) soldiers at the beginning of the movie use what appear to be M16A1 rifles with A2 handguards. Since the movie was filmed in Canada, it's also possible that it is a Diemaco C7 or perhaps even an MGC replica.

M16A2

When the US Army National Guard (ARNG) is deployed in the ensuing chaos of the Rapture, their soldiers use M16A2s loaded with 20-round STANAG magazines (it would be more accurate if they had 30-round magazines instead). Since the movie was filmed in Canada, it's possible that it is a Diemaco C7 or even an MGC-style replica fitted with A2-style handguards to better resemble an M16A2.
