G.I. Blues is an American 1960 musical comedy directed by Norman Taurog and starring Elvis Presley as Tulsa McLean, U.S. Army Spec. 5, tank crewmember who serves in the 3rd Armored "Spearhead" Division, stationed in West Germany. Tulsa and his buddies form a band and perform in German night clubs and on Armed Forces stage.

Trivia

M48 Patton Main Battle Tank

Tulsa McLean and his buddies are crewmembers of M48A1 Patton tank. Numerous M48A1 and some earlier M48 tanks are seen in the movie.

M48A1 Patton. The turret was fitted with a cupola that enclosed the M2HB machine gun, that differs M48A1 from original M48. The tank is also armed with coaxial Browning M1919A4 machine gun (at the left of the main gun) but the gun mantlet is covered with tarpaulin that prevents to seen the machine gun barrel.
