Don't Take God's Children for Wild Geese Faut pas prendre les enfants du bon Dieu pour des canards sauvages ) is a 1968 French crime comedy directed by Michel Audiard. A Parisian gangster Fred the Elegant (André Pousse ) robs the armored car, loaded with gold ingots. Fred's girlfriend Rita (Marlène Jobert ) wants to get a share of the loot so she makes a conspiracy with another gangster, Charles the Temeraire (Bernard Blier ). Charles successfully captures the gold but keeps all for himself. Rita, deceived by Charles and pursued by enraged Fred, runs to her elderly aunt Leontine (Françoise Rosay), the retired "godmother" of French criminal world whom both Charles and Fred are afraid of.
