At Home Among Strangers, Stranger at Home (Svoy sredi chuzhikh, chuzhoy sredi svoikh) is a 1974 Soviet action film directed by Nikita Mikhalkov. The plot is set in early 1920s, shortly after the Russian Civil War is over. Egor Shilov (Yuri Bogatyryov) is assigned a mission to protect a shipment of gold that is sent by train. But he is kidnapped and drugged. When the train is attacked and the gold is stolen, Shilov is suspected of treachery. Even his former comrades-in-arms don't trust him, so Shilov becomes "a stranger at home". In order to prove his innocence and return the gold, he has to become "at home among strangers".

Nagant M1895 revolvers are widely used in the movie. They are used by Egor Shilov (Yuri Bogatyryov), the head of local Cheka Nikolaj Kungurov (Aleksandr Porokhovshchikov), the commander of Red cavalry squadron Andrey Zabelin (Sergey Shakurov) (his Nagant is seen only in holster), Chekists Stepan Lipyagin (Nikolai Pastukhov), Nikodimov (Nikolay Zasukhin), Alyoshin (Mikhail Kislov), and several unnamed ones, the robbers - former White Army officers Lemke (Aleksandr Kaidanovsky), Belenkiy (Vitaliy Komissarov) and unnamed ones (Aleksandr Yakovlev, Mikhail Chigaryov, and Stanislav Frolov), and several of Brylov's bandits. Both pre- and post-1930 Nagants are seen.
The bandits chieftan Brylov (Nikita Mikhalkov) carries a nickel plated Steyr 1912. This bright gun can be seen in a number of Mosfilm productions of 1970s.
A number of Brylov's bandits, notably Kayum (Konstantin Raykin), are armed with Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines. The hooded front sights are removed to make the carbines look more similar to early Mosin Nagant rifles.
Winchester Model 1895 rifles are seen in hands of several of Brylov's men. Most likely these are Russian contract Model 1895 rifles in 7.62x54R caliber.
Degtyaryov DT (visually modified as Lewis machine gun)
Brylov (Nikita Mikhalkov) uses a Degtyaryov DT visually modified to resemble a Lewis. Several parts of real Lewis gun are used, including the buttstock, the barrel shroud with finned heat sink, and the recoil spring semicircular housing.
