Waltz with Bashir (2008)

Waltz with Bashir is a 2008 Israeli animated documentary film about the Sabra and Shatila massacre during the 1982 Lebanon War. Written and directed by Ari Folman, it follows him as he interviews former comrades in an attempt to discover long-lost memories of the conflict. As it's a documentary, most of the characters are voiced by themselves. It won many awards like a Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film or a César Award for Best Foreign Film, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and others.
