Vanessa Williams (aka Vanessa L. Williams) was a model and winner of the 1984 Miss America pageant (the first African American contestant to do so) however that reign was short lived when nude photos of her surfaced in Penthouse Magazine.  She was stripped of her title, however she bounced back with a series of record albums and movie roles.  The scandal that thrust her into the limelight now forgotten, she was most well known for her singing and acting.  Not to be confused with ''[[Vanessa A. Vanessa Williams (aka Vanessa L.
