Tour of Duty was an American television series that followed a platoon of US soldiers through their tour of duty in the Vietnam War. The series aired for three seasons on CBS from 1987-1990 and was one of very first to portray the Vietnam War in a weekly drama. While the first two seasons followed the men of Bravo Company as they served in a regular Army unit where they carried standard American weapons, the third season had them join the Special Operations Group, where they went on missions carrying more non-descript weaponry.
