With his business failing, Jimmy is given a chance to clear his debt by a local crime lord "The Man With The Plan" (Christopher Walken), whom Tosnia owes money, by performing a service for him. To this aim, Tosnia recruits four helpers: "Pieces" Olden (Christopher Lloyd), Francis "Big Bear Franchise" Chiser (William Forsythe), Earl "Easy Wind" Denton (Bill Nunn) and "Critical" Bill Dolittle (Treat Williams). When the "job" is botched, the five members are faced with the lethal consequences of their failure in the form of the deadly assassin Mr. Shhh (Steve Buscemi).
